Aquifer Solutions has a company culture of disciplined project performance that is supported by a number of highly effective management systems.  The goal of our management systems is to support efficient project execution and consistent client-focused performance.  Our programs are streamlined and designed to support project personnel, as opposed to creating unnecessary and inhibitory beaurocracy.  In this manner, we have been able to develop a company-wide culture of not only participation, but contribution to our management systems.  Our management systems have passed audit by U.S. Department of Energy client program requirements, and are fully integrated into our company work flow and process.

The following briefly describes the key elements of our primary management systems.

SAFETY. Aquifer Solutions. has a company record of 100% zero-accident performance,with over 75,000 hours worked.  We have achieved this through several things, including a rigorous Corporate Safety Program, the use of experienced personnel, and a constant commitment to safe work performance. 

Our safety program is described in greater detail here.  Aquifer Solutions is highly committed to ensuring that all workers are provided with a safe work environment.  We are committed to meeting health and safety regulatory requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), as well as committed to being industry leaders in maintaining a zero-accident workplace. Our safety program is based on a number of innovative principals, including:

Engage field staff day to day to establish a culture of safety and situational awareness. Develop the means to capture the safety experience of field staff and disseminate best practices amongst field personnel. Establish a communications program that approaches safety from many different angles to maximize impact at the staff level and produce results. Engage subcontractor management to flow down the value of safety through all levels of the project team.

QUALITY.  Aquifer Solutions has a highly effective Corporate Quality Assurance Program Plan that makes quality a basic business principle.  Our quality program is backed up by a commitment from our management, and is implemented as a part of our daily workflow.  Our quality program is an integral part of our services provided, including data collection, design, data analysis and reporting, subcontractor control, procurement, and fieldwork.  Some of the elements of our quality process include:

Inspecting data generated at project sites for accuracy, precision, and representativeness. Inspecting procured materials for consistency with design and purchasing specifications. Developing design quality objectives to ensure that all project requirements are considered. Checking and verifying design calculations and modeling results. Document control and revision tracking.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT. Aquifer Solutions has a highly effective project management program that is the central avenue for control of all project work.  On each project, an Aquifer Solutions Principal is assigned to review that the project manager is conducting work compliance with all legal, regulatory, technical, business, and client requirements.  Our Company Project Management Program is streamlined, and designed to be supportive of project managers and not burdensome.  Some of the elements of the program requirements include:

Document a clearly defined scope of work and schedule. Develop a well documented cost estimate with resource loading. Ensure that all work performed satisfies our scope of work requirements. Ensure that the work performed reflects the high ethical and professional standards inherent in AqSol’s core values and ideology Maintain a current project resource and budget forecast and interface with AqSol management on resource forecasting. Provide routine written update reports to the client.
