Aquifer Solutions, Inc. was co-founded in 2001.  We are a woman-owned small business.  Aquifer Solutions, Inc. is committed to hiring and retaining the finest professionals in the industry for all of our staff positions.  Our principals are industry leaders who are on the forefront of new technology developments.  Our Principals have unsurpassed qualifications and experience in subsurface contaminant characterization, monitoring, and remediation.

 

Karen B. Clayton, C.H.M.M. is the President and Owner of Aquifer Solutions, Inc.  She is responsible for the business operations of the company and serves as a technical consultant and Certified Hazardous Materials Management (C.H.M.M.) professional.  She holds a B.S. in Geology, with a minor in Civil Engineering from University of Delaware.  She has worked as a project manager and technical lead on the design and operation of greater than 50 soil and groundwater remediation systems, over approximately 20 years.  She has performed remediation work throughout the US and in Europe.

 

Wilson S. Clayton, Ph.D., P.E., P.G. is a Vice President of Aquifer Solutions, Inc.  He manages the technical practices undertaken by the company.  He holds a Ph.D. in Geological Engineering (minor Environmental Engineering) from Colorado School of Mines, and an M.S. and B.S. degrees in Geology from University of Connecticut and Clemson.  Dr. Clayton is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Professional Geologist (PG).  His previous consulting experience included positions as a branch office manager, district hydrogeologist, treatability laboratory director, technology program manager, project director, and project manager.  He has 20 years of experience in subsurface hydrology and remediation, and has performed work in more than 20 states in the US, as well as in Europe, Taiwan, and Japan.

 

Bruce K. Marvin, P.E., is a Vice President and the Operations Manager for the Aquifer Solutions, Inc. California office.  He holds a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.  Mr. Marvin is a licensed civil engineer in California.  He has over 15 years of experience in the area of subsurface contaminant remediation and investigation.  He has managed the investigation of numerous facilities and locations, designed and built over 15 full-scale remediation systems, and designed and implemented more than 30 field treatability studies.  Mr. Marvin has worked throughout the United States, as well as in Japan.
